The second of the four material laws. Everything has two poles, and both poles are one energy. Find the center and the peace comes with it.

Documented record The Kybalion (1908), chapter II, “The Seven Hermetic Principles,” The Principle of Polarity: “Everything is Dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled.”
The class page carries it in short form: “All things are dual; all things have two poles; opposites are, in all respects, of one nature; they differ only in degree.”
The Kybalion works the principle through in chapter X. Its examples are plain ones: heat and cold, light and darkness, high and low. Where does heat stop and cold begin? Nowhere. It is one thing measured at different degrees.

Find the center point.
Working hypothesis When you can hold both poles as one energy, you start to find the center point in all of it. And this is when you find peace inside of any situation.
Where it fits in the seven.
Working hypothesis This is why I believe the pyramids were built in a triangle format. The trinity — Mentalism, Vibration, Correspondence — is a triangle. As you create that triangulation, a square sits on a square base — and that creates the balance.
The triangle is the mind, the spirit, and the tuning. The square is the material world — the four material laws. When the triangle stands on the square, that is a construct of true alchemy in our reality.

Use it in the situation
When a situation polarizes you — when you are certain it is good or bad, righteous or not — name the two poles out loud. Now find the center point between them.
It is not compromise. Compromise is between two people. The center is inside the energy itself. Sit in the center — and watch the peace arrive. That is the lens.
Tonight · five minutes
Write down the one thing today that you judged hardest: a person, a result, a choice of your own.
Next to it, write the other pole. If you called it bad, write the good it shares a line with. If you called it a loss, write the gain at the other end.
Read the two lines together as one energy. The judgment gets quieter. That quiet is the center.
Hold both poles as one energy.
Every situation you meet will hand you a high and a low. You do not have to pick a side to find your footing. Name the poles, find the center, and stand there.
